Nightmares After « Thread Started on Feb 10, 2008, 10:57pm »
Kaetlyn held tightly onto Leith's hand and rested her head on his shoulder. She closed her eyes as they walked through the park. It was really picturesque, cherry blossums were floating in front of them, behind them, above them from the trees, landing gently on the green grass under their feet.
It was so romantic, and she could feel the ring around her finger, and suddenly, she was in white, and he was in a suit. The dress flowed behind her in a gentle breeze and faces were smiling. She smiled back, but felt a sudden menacing presence. Her happiness seemed to fade in the dream and she looked around to see her father looking at them, he had a strange smile and her fingers loosened around Leith's.
She tilted her head as her dad came towards them, his hand reaching for his pocket. She frowned a little and felt her stomach churning as she saw him pulling out a black metal object from his pocket. Suddenly everyone started to scream and duck down low. She put her hands to her mouth and breathed in sharply as the gun pointed towards them. the sound shattered the scenery and the blood splattered onto her white dress. She screamed as Leith fell to the ground beside her. She fell to her knees next to him and pulled his head into her lap. she looked at him as blood dribbled from his mouth and tears fell from her eyes. She leaned down and held him close and felt her father's hand on her shoulder. She glared up at him and screamed angrily at him. "Murderer!" She screamed over and over, through tears.
She struggled in the blanket and made uneasy sounds. "No." She muttered. She tossed from side to side and shook her head. "No." She gasped and sat up right with wide eyes. She swallowed and looked around, for a few moments unsure where she was. She recognised Leith's room and then remembered what they'd done the night before. She shivered and looked at the blanket at her feet. If her father found out... Would he really do what she'd dreamt? She blinked out a tear.

Leith swallowed hard and frowned as he was woken up by the sudden movement in the bed, he had had a beautiful sleep. He groaned and turned towards the side Kaetlyn was on and opened his eyes and looked up at her. He saw she didn't seem all that good and sat up himself "Hey..." he whispered placing his hand on her back "What's up?" he asked quietly seeing the tear.

Kaetlyn looked at Leith as he rolled over and wiped her eyes, pulling the blanket up to her shoulders she sniffed and shook her head as his hand went to her back. "I just had a nightmare." She whispered. "Something silly." Her father would never do anything to sacrifice her happiness, would he?
She thought about their weekend away, once they had gotten away from the city, and the silly swap had been over it had been fine, but, it had been the swap that had stayed in her ind the most. The information about Bionco, and then Bionco dying. She frowned slightly, she was starting to think she didn't know her father much at all, truth and lies were getting hard to define now.

Leith frowned and moved closer, he wrapped his arms around her "They're not real" he smiled at her, trying to help her "Do you want to talk about it though?" he asked tilting his head.

Kaetlyn leaned into Leith's arms and shook her head. She certainly didn't want to tell him she'd seen her father kill him at their wedding, or after it, or whenever it had been. She sighed and closed her eyes, feeling his skin against hers. The contact was so warm and smooth she couldn't help but smile. "No thank you." She whispered softly.

Leith frowned and sighed "Alright" he told her "How about I make us some breaky then?" he asked moving out of the bed and grabbing a towel. He wrapped it around him and then headed towards the door.

Kaetlyn pulled her knees close to her body and felt incredibly guilty as Leith sighed. A small smile crossed her face as he suggested breakfast and she nodded. "Want help?" She asked as he headed towards the door. She didn't think she could stand it if something happened to him, for any reason.

Leith shook his head “No” he smiled “Just relax I’ll give you breakfast in bed” he said then grabbing a singlet and put it on “What would you like? Pancakes or something, French Toast?”

Kaetlyn smiled a little and felt kind of silly thinking she would be sitting in his bed while he was in the kitchen making them breakfast. "Pancakes?" She made a cute face and grinned.

Leith chuckled and grinned "If that is what the Princess wishes" he told her then heading out of the room, whistling happily as he shuffled over to his kitchen. He got out everything he need and begun to mix up the recipe.

Kaetlyn laid back on the bed and sighed. She closed her eyes and tried to push out the visions of the nightmare. Her Dad wouldn't hurt her that way, he wasn't that kind of man. She opened her eyes and licked her lips. He had mostly handled the news well, she looked out the door into the rest of Leith's apartment. She shook her head, it was just a nightmare, a stupid silly nightmare. She stood up and wrapped the doona around her. She walked out of the room and towards the kitchen. She walked up behind Leith and wrapped her arms and the doona around him carefully. She nuzzled his neck and smiled. "Love you." She said quietly.

Leith looked up as he saw movement, it was a sharp look up and for a slight second he had narrowed his eyes on his girlfriend but smiled lovingly when he figured out who it was. He watched her walk up to him and wrapped herself around him "I love you too bub" he whispered affectionately. He placed a free hand on her arm when he could before going back to cooking their breaky.

Kaetlyn smiled and looked from Leith's neck to his cooking. "Smells yummy." She said with a grin. "What have you got to put on them?" She pulled back and looked towards his cupboards and then pulled herself away fro her lover.

Leith thought for a moment "I'm not sure" he said "Haven't gone shopping for a while, haven't have pancakes in a while so you might just have to have a good search" he told her "I have ice-cream" he offered with a cheeky look. He liked ice-cream on his pancakes.
